In this episode my guest was Elena Marsh. She is a leadership transformation coach and co-founder and trainer at BeCoach Academy, which provides ICF accredited coach training in English in Munich. She also happens to be my business partner and a very good friend. So it was an extra pleasure to host her in the podcast!

Why should you listen to this episode
Have you ever thought of quitting your job and starting your own business? What has stopped you?
Have you ever had a big dream but felt it was impossible? How would it be if you followed that dream?
What does it mean to be a leader? Who do we call a leader? Can you be a leader?
If any of these questions intrigued you, you should listen to this episode because Elena shares her own stories regarding these questions which might inspire you to (re)create your own stories.
The Key messages I took away
Who you are surrounded with plays a huge part in your success – however you may want to call it (I call it being able to live the life you want to live). Like in the story of Peter’s career change, it was friends who encouraged Elena to take the first step that would bring all the other steps and bring her to her current career.
She was not coaching from day 1 of her work life, it was series of events and series of jobs that brought her to this field of work. If you are feeling not fully yourself in your current job, make experiments, try something new, with every experiment you are approaching to the work you will love.
I loved her definition of leadership – being the person who is conscious about her own values, beliefs and vision. She emphasised the importance of being a leader first before leading.
What I believe many of us keep forgetting is that “We are our best product.” How we work, what we create and how we contribute is directly related to our well being. We cannot do better than how we are. (Oh, again being > doing , wow!)
